Catherine Valcke receives Mewett Teaching Award

The Faculty of Law鈥檚 Class of 2023 has recognized Professor with the , presented annually to a faculty member for excellence in teaching.
Valcke previously served as the faculty鈥檚 associate dean (first-year program) from 1997 to 2000. She holds a bachelor of civil law from the University of Sherbrooke as well as a bachelor of laws (common law) from 老司机直播, a master of laws from the University of Chicago and a doctor of juridical science from Columbia University.
Valcke writes and teaches in the areas of contract law, the civil law of obligations, comparative contract law and transnational legal theory.
鈥淚 have long felt that inspiring just a few students every year would be enough to keep me going. To receive the Mewett Teaching Award from the entire class of 2023 thus moves me more than words can say,鈥 Valcke said.
