President Gertler welcomes students, faculty, staff and librarians as fall classes begin
University of Toronto President Meric Gertler welcomed the safe return of students, staff, faculty and librarians across ˾ֱ’s three campuses this week.
“After one of the most difficult and demanding years in our institution’s history, we are delighted that many of you will be coming to our campuses in person,” President Gertler said in a video message. “We’ve been planning and preparing for this fall. We’re all excited to see that it is finally here.
“Health and safety remain our top priority. We’re keen to provide a rich, rewarding and supportive academic experience for everyone.”
President Gertler encouraged all members of the ˾ֱ community to take full advantage of everything the university has to offer – inside and outside the classroom, in person and online.
“And don’t forget: You have the entire ˾ֱ community supporting your success,” he said. “So, if you need help or advice at any point, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask.”
